Sultan

We met Sultan 4 years ago through a friend. Sultan’s owner passed away 4 months prior and since then Sultan had become aggressive toward’s his owner’s son. Instead of using love to try to help Sultan through his grief, the son attacked Sultan as well. When our friend noticed the dog bleeding from his forehead, the son said he had no intention of taking a dog so mean to him to the vet. As a good friend of the owner’s dog, he knew he wouldn’t want Sultan to be suffering which is why he intervened.

The owner’s son never called to ask about Sultan once. A few months later it was revealed that the owner’s son had killed his own father for money yet told the authorities it was slip and fall accident. We are convinced that Sultan witnessed this which is why she was attacking him when no one understood why.

She’s never attacked human or animal in her 4 years with us. And these days, Sultan lives like a true sultan. Everyone in the shelter has great respect after learning about her hardships and in turn, she loves everyone in the shelter.
